Reunion Wrap-Up
Our 50th Reunion is in the Books! The Luncheon, Golf Outing, Mass and of course the big night- The Actual Reunion were all well attended and truly enjoyable.
Old friendships renewed, some new made and just generally a great feeling of kinship! If you were unable to attend - We missed you! Please review below for the reoccurring gatherings your classmate participate in and would welcome you to attend! Also - Please review the information concerning the very successful Class of '68 Legacy Fundraiser at the bottom of the page - Our class genuinely took to heart Father Tom's inspiration of giving "that little extra." CLASS of '68 LEGACY GIFT
Our goal was $25,000.00 so happy to report we exceeded that goal and have more than enough to fund:
1st. A large-screen interactive display which will allow anyone to access the history of Scecina and pictures of students who have attended Scecina. The interactive display will be a highlight of every school tour and visit.
2nd. An ongoing scholarship in honor of our classmates John Meyer and Jeff Young who tragically lost their lives in service to our country in Viet Nam. This scholarship will be presented to a current Junior class SMHS student prior to entering his Senior year. This student must be a focused, average student involved in some type of SMHS activity and must have a family member that has served or is serving in the military, police, fire or emergency services.
For a few years, two of our classmates Monica Roberts Folske and Pat Hurrle will serve along side chosen SMHS faculty members to review and choose the scholarship recipient.
Contributions can still be made to our Class of 68 Legacy Project. Contact SMHS for information on how to donate.
